Testimonials from ADHD Teens
Margit is really über funny, curious, and is easy to get along with! The thing I liked the best about working with Margit is that she showed me a lot of tactics to avoid bullies and to get along with people better.
–“Joe Bob,” 12
I like coaching because it gives you suggestions and then you can make them your own. Margit doesn’t tell you that you have to do something but she has a lot of ideas that she tells you about and you can choose what works for you or for you and your parents. She’s very friendly and makes me laugh. — Mireya, 13 years old
Margit is an extraordinarily good mentor in helping you understand and elaborate on your studies. She helps me understand things I wasn’t sure of and now I feel quite content with myself as I am and I feel I can do anything with a little bit of help from Margit. She’s also a good spiritual advisor. She helped me meditate and that helped me with my grades a substantial amount.
— Max, 14 (You can read his mother’s testimonial on the Parent Testimonial page. Her name is Jessica R.)
Nice, smart, funny, understanding, a good listener. And you don’t talk about yourself all the time. After working with Margit I feel sorta happier about life etc. “Chris’s kid,” 14 years old, (Read Chris’ testimonial in the Parents section)
You inspire me to do better and try hard. You’ve shown me how to be kind and that I’m somebody special. I can’t express how big of an influence you’ve been on me. Thank you very much, you’ve taught me lessons about people and shown me reality. You’ve made my life much easier and better. –Tim, 14
Thank you very much for listening to me when I needed someone to talk to. I am going to miss you. –Luis, 14
Margit is the first adult to listen to me. She stands up for me and makes me feel good about myself. –Seth, 14
Margit is understanding and easy to get along with. She helps me and my parents get along better but she doesn’t take sides. She tells you the truth but in a nice way. I feel more calm and confident. –Alex, 15 from Seattle
Margit listens really well. She’s nice and I feel better after I talk to her. I was mad at my mom when she said we were doing coaching because it seemed like my mother just wanted to bust me. Now I get that we’re a family and it’s better if we get along. I still get mad at my mom sometimes but I don’t yell at her anymore and most of the time I know that she’s doing her best. Margit says that some things are just going to happen whether I like it or not. Then she helps me have a better attitude about it. –Zach, 15 (son of Francine. You can read her testimonial in the Parents section).
I can’t even tell you how awesome you are! You always acknowledged me and understood me, and your personality always made me laugh. I enjoyed working with you and I’ll miss you. –Kimberley, 15
I owe you a lot, Margit. You are awesome! You turned out to be more than my coach. You are my friend and I will miss you. I’ll let you know what happens with college. Thank you for being so sweet and understanding. I didn’t deserve it. –Dillon, 16, from Texas, (son of Ann & Don who are in the Parents section)
Margit helped me do better in school and got my parents to simmer down. At first she kind of bugged me (haha) and I wasn’t happy about it but then it turned out that she was right a lot. Thanks Margit. –Nate, 16, Bellevue WA
I like working with Margit because she is fun and lively and understands the kids point of view and can translate the strange and foreign adult language. She acts young but responsible at the same time, and I was thoroughly convinced she was 35. [I’m way older than that! – Margit] –Devin, 16
Margit tells it like it is. She isn’t mean but she doesn’t just sit around. She gets right to the point, which is to make your family happier. I know she understands how I’m feeling and she helps when I feel like I can’t say something directly to my mom. She’s in the middle and helps us communicate better. –Kira, 16
You’re an amazing person and so smart. Your wisdom has definitely helped me along and made me think more. You are so fun and I’m glad I got to know you. –Hannah, 16
I cannot describe the appreciation you deserve. You are fun and wonderful and inspirational and you have an important message to send out. My freshman year, on the second day of school, I lost my father to cancer. Margit helped me find enough strength to make it through the year. You always believed in me and you have given me lots of advice and things I can take with me for the rest of my life. You always knew what I was going through and this really helped. I have been inspired by you and your friendship. –Aaron, 17
You don’t need to wait until your child is old enough or cooperative enough to work with me! YOU can be the change you want for your family! You can empower yourself while still honoring and supporting the soul and spirit of your children.
