I’m sure there are people who would be willing to tell you all kinds of things you don’t know about me, but I figured I’d limit it to things I want to share, LOL!
This exercise was floating around Facebook and on people’s blogs and a lot of people revealed some pretty personal things. Let’s see how I do.
And… if you’d like to ask something, feel free!
1. I’ve been besties with elementary school pals Roberta and Jill since we were 7 years old. We will celebrate 50 years of friendship in a few years!
2. I think my “least charming” quality is that I can get pretty anxious at times. My family would agree.
3. I think my best quality is that I’m creative and funny. My husband thinks it’s that I’m so “bubbly” My stepkids like that I’m “welcoming and accepting, even though [I'm] opinionated.”
4. My teen clients think my best quality is that I’m “hecka friendly” and I make them feel good about themselves.
5. My parent clients think that my best quality is that I make them feel hopeful and optimistic.
6. I love pork shoulder that is super moist. (I’m drooling now, in fact)
7. I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder 30 years ago.
8. I’ve tried both medication and alternative methods for treating my ADD. Both worked for me.
9. I’ve had my own coach (either business coach, personal coach, or both) since 2002
10. At one time I was fluent in English, Spanish, French and Hebrew. I also could read and understand Italian, Latin, and Catalán
11. Machu Picchu, in Peru, is the most amazing place I’ve ever been.
12. I love swimming. Swimming pool water feels like silk to me.
13. I have a learning disability in math.
14. I’m an only child.
15. Lots of addiction in my home growing up.
16. Yes, that had a lot to do with me wanting to help families
17. My mother told me that girls always marry a version of their father so I didn’t date for a long time! (see #15)
18. I got married when I was 38 (see #17)
19. I love denim jeans and jackets. I also love big baggy sweatpants that I can lounge around in!
20. I have worked with teens since I was 14.
21. I didn’t work with teens in 1987 and 1988 and 2004 and 2005, and I felt like a piece of me was missing
22. I love the sun; the perfect temperature is 74 degrees.
23. I love my clients. I LOVE MY CLIENTS!
24. I would love to be on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
25. I hate the letter E. (I like people who have E’s in their names – like Ellen DeGeneres – but I hate the letter itself).

Margit,
It’s settled. You have given me my warm up for tomorrow’s Writer’s Support Gathering. How long did it take for you to conjure this multifaceted and multicolored list?
What a great inventory of the many sides of Margit Crane. Great for its authenticity and transparency that puts into context what makes you who you are.
The reasons real sharing of our own stories works so well to help others heal is for me illustrated by your most recent and fervent post.
Happy New Year!
Blessings to you golden hearted one!
Thanks Deborah! It was a fun exercise. I would say that the first version/draft took about 1/2 hour. Then I went over it with my accountability partner and made some changes so it was a more balanced view of me.
Let me know how the exercise goes!
I plan to and it is the last activity I partake of as the Solar Eclipse and New Moon approaches direct conjunction. Thinking of the facts that may be true and do not serve me any longer…so it will be a list of what is/was true and what is important going forward.
How fun to be ending today and beginning today this way. I’ll wing it because my accountability partner must be sleeping…LOL

I knew that’s why I like/relate to you (see # 15)!
Thanks for the shout out, Evan!
